A Minute of Shame

While waiting for the fire dance show, Tribu K were looking for participants from the audience for a fun game with a prize. I asked the kids to volunteer but no one dare. So, I stand up and climb the stage. As long as they will not let me touch a snake or dare me to eat exotic food, I'm game!!

I may have brains but I certainly lack body coordination. LOL!!!

Dancing with Fire

Below was the video clip of the fire dance that we were watching during our short visit in Davao City. The show lasted an hour but I am only sharing six minutes of it. If I have still time, I will share more fire dance video on this blog site.

P. S. This is my first attempt to become a vlogger and it took me a day to figure out how to do it. So please watch and enjoy the clip.

I cannot play the video using my phone so I loaded it again using youtube. Hopefully this will work.

Davao BUTTERFLY House

The Davao Butterfly House was our next destination. The weather was so hot as Mr. Sun was smiling big upon us. This was not a perfect time for butterfly watching. But then, we were there already so there will be no turning back.

There were no tour guide available. Maybe they were having siesta or were hiding from the pierce heat of the sun. So we decided to roam unassisted and to continue our pictorials, haha!

It has been a long day for us and our feet were sore so we decided to take a rest first in the middle of the garden which was just perfect.

We roamed our eyes while lounging. The sight of butterflies resting above us were enjoyable, delightful and engrossing. It helped us soothing and warming us all to be ready for our next exploit.

Butterflies are always gentle, colorful and beautiful. These butterflies are docile that you can catch them by raising your hand. You just have to be careful to avoid any damage to these insects.

When there are butterflies, blooming flowers are also around. Various species of flowers are everywhere making this place more relaxing, stunning and wonderful.

These butterflies should have been very delighted sipping and feeding nectar from these flowers. I just hope that getting photograph everyday from excited visitors will not make their lives shorter. We will be guilty if that is the case.

The butterflies below were mating under the scorching heat of the sun. No kidding, but of course, the tress were protecting them from Mr. Sun.

The dead butterflies are preserved here. The average lifespan of a butterfly is one month. Size can also be a factor. The larger the butterfly, the longer is it's life span. Large butterflies can live nine months.

After wandering around, we find ourselves very thirsty and we started fantasizing a giant ice cream. Good luck to our yummy thoughts!!
